Professional hands on exhibits, videos and interpretive tours help to interpret the history of the lumbering, shipbuilding and sailing history of the Parrsborough Shore, as well as the communities that supported them. The Age of Sail museum complex consists of 6 display buildings including a repurposed 1854 Methodist Church a newer unique ship building, an original working blacksmith shop, a 1908 lighthouse, a wharf walkway and more. There is also a café, gift shop, archives and genealogy database as well as a public meeting space.
